HOA Constitution
La Paloma's Home Owner's Association is governed by it's constitution, which refers to conduct and management rules for the estate. This is a contract between the governing body made up of trustees and various home owners.
Estate Conduct Rules
Please note Conduct Rules were updated in 2012. As discussed at last AGM, we intend revising the Building guidelines to conform to updated building practice, but need to build up funds in order to do . This is an extensive exercise and will take time. Once completed this would require sign-off at an appropriate AGM or extraordinary meeting. At the same time we will update conduct rules where applicable
Building Plans Sign-off
Led by Paul van der Merwe, PVM specializes in creating luxury residential properties that seamlessly blend innovative design with superior construction quality. As both a registered architect and seasoned project manager, Paul has personally overseen more than 120 building projects, from bespoke residences to commercial developments across the Western Cape and Gauteng.
Paul van der Merwe Architects has been appointed as our estate design and building plan consultant for the purpose of signing off plans, resolving design interpretations and assisting the Trustees in refining our guidelines over time. For convenience we have agreed pricing guidelines to manage expectations.
Costs of Building Plan Sign-off
The table below is an indication of expected costs for the individual homeowners regarding comment/review and signing of any plans prior to council submission. Plans need sign-off from both Paul van der Merwe Architects and the trustees, before council will consider any plans.

La Paloma Home Owners Association is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our property owners, residents, visitors, and website users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA") and other applicable South African legislation.
Building Guidelines
The building guidelines define the general architectural design standards and building activity guidelines. All building plans must be submitted to the trustees of the La Paloma of the HOA, or it's nominee for approval before submission to the City of Cape Town. These guidelines are currently under review.

This guideline will serve to give you inspiration and direction when re-painting your home.
La Paloma Estate has always subscribed to a "light natural aesthetic" which is Mediterranean inspired - hence the name La Paloma.
